Legend has it that a cabin boy named Baret embarked on a ship of the King of France bound overseas to find new species of flowers. Baret, who was considered fragile by everyone, was captured by natives, and after being freed, the crew discovered that he was not a weak young man at all, but actually a courageous woman who had disguised herself as a sailor to explore the world. Touched by her story, the king decided to name one of the flowers brought from these distant lands in her honor with her true name: Hortensia.

This flower represents the courage of a woman who dared to defy the conventions of her time to pursue her dreams, a true tribute to the strength and determination of those who dare to be themselves to pursue their happiness.
